The first commandment to love your God with your whole being, means in part, to tell the truth as God tells the truth.
If you take to the practice of telling the truth, you will notice a dramatic increase in the tension in you relations to people. You will learn that sometimes people do not wish to hear the truth spoken. It is wise, when you learn that, to say that you do not wish to answer that question at the present. That is surely also true. It is by involvement with this process that you begin to see a different reality. You become more intimately connected with what is known as the hierarchy of Truth.
You bumped up against this hierarchy of Truth when when you went to the psipeg site. What was not said in truth was that the maintainer of that site was disillusioned with involvement with the site and answering the questions. Remember Sai Baba and his life? This is another version of that.
If you wish an in depth study of drugs, get a copy of Baba Ram Das's (Richard Alpert) 'Be Here Now'. In some sense, the Prana Water (algae water) is similar in the activation of the undalini, without the side effects.
What the Prana Water does is clear the nadis, so when the Kundalini awakens, it will travel up the Sushuma without being diverted to the ida or pingala. You will look those words up.
Your experience on the couch where you awoke the Kundalini, and it rose to the hearth chakra. Once there, it turned around and descended through the ida (left spiral around the center) to the base of the spine. Ida is cold, pingala is hot.
It is appropriate now to refer to a great book on Yoga, ;Autobiography of an Yogi' , by Yogananada. I'm sure the local library has a copy. In it, you will find that Yogananda had a similar experiences to yours.
If you read far enough, you will have context for what I am going to say to you. It should be clearly evident to you now that you have had previous experience with the Kundalini energy. You experiences are similar to a great masters' experience at about the same age. If you look at Yogananda's life from that moment on, there were still many experiences that he went through, before he could say he was realized. I will remind you that the powers and the experiences were secondary to the goal of Self realization itself. The 14th chapter deals with the state of Kaivalya (absoluteness). It was another 20 years before Yogananda was sent to the west by his Guru. And that only came after his realization. He did not even acknowledge his accomplishment to himself, until after his Guru told him he was going to America.
